Chicago Men Charged With Plotting $700 Heroin Deal in Elmhurst

The two Chicago men were locked up in the DuPage County jail.

Two Chicago men were jailed after planning a $700 heroin deal in Elmhurst, police said.

Jerome Yarbrough, 54, of 5044 W. Superior St. and David Duncan, 44, of 105 S. Ashland Ave. both were booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Yarbrough and Duncan were arrested about 1 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Lake Street.

The Elmhurst police redacted part of their account of the arrests. Deputy Police Chief Dominic Panico did not immediately respond to an email query on whether an informant was involved in the case.

Yarbrough and Duncan were driving a white Chevy Impala when they were taken into custody, police said.

"Subsequent to (redacted) a delivery of $700 worth of heroin two subjects were taken into custody and 98 bags containing a white powdery substance were located in the vehicle totaling 29.65 grams," police said.
