Chicago Man Arrested for Dealing Heroin; DUI Arrest Nets Switch Blade, Stun Gun

Arrest for Drug Dealing

Maurice Freeman, 24, 4418 W. Wilcox, Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver after he agreed to deliver $300 worth of heroin to the 400 block of West Lake Street at 11:57 p.m. July 9, Elmhurst police said. He reportedly had 39 bags of heroin. He also was charged with driving on a suspended license. He was taken to DuPage County Jail and his black Honda Accord was towed for forfeiture.

DUI Arrests

Richard J. Dutch, 31, 901 W. North Ave. Apt. F, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without insurance, illegal transportation of alcohol and carrying concealed weapons after police pulled over his black Honda Civic for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle at North and Willow at 3:41 a.m. July 13. Police said they found a button-activated switch blade knife in his pocket and a stun gun in the center console of his vehicle. He was released on bond.

Jose Perez-Garcia, 24, 344 W. Lincoln Court Unit 1S, Addison, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police found him slumped behind the wheel of his black Honda Civic at 167 S. Route 83 at 5:43 a.m. July 14. He was released on bond.

Mike McCormick, 24, 21 Palisades, Oak Brook, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police said his black Ford Focus struck another vehicle while attempting to pull out of a parking spot at 120 Adelaide at 1:32 a.m. July 13. He was released on bond.

Brandon Smith, 25, 6484 N. Northwest Highway Apt. 208, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his silver Chevrolet Cavalier for disobeying a traffic control device and improper turn at North and Clinton at 11:42 p.m. July 12. He was released on bond.

Theresa Murdock, 48, 909 W. North Ave. Apt. F, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of cannabis, driving with an expired license and driving without insurance after police pulled over her tan Mercury Grand Marquis for improper lane use at York and Lake streets at 3:48 a.m. July 7. She was released on bond.

Jacek Nazar, 42, 829 N. Lombard, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over his silver Mercedes-Benz for speeding and improper lane use at York and Crestview at 2:25 a.m. July 6. He was released on bond.

DUI-Drugs

Kristie Weber, 55, 331 S. Fair Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, driving without a license and driving without insurance after her gray Nissan SUV was involved in an accident at Spring Road and the Canadian National Railroad tracks at 5:24 p.m. July 13. She was released on bond.

Possession of Cannabis

Daniel Fox, 26, 5711 S. Kenton, Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 100 block of East Butterfield at 6:55 p.m. July 9. He was released on bond.

David Meyer, 20, 333 Ridge, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia at Washington Park, May and Holly streets, at 12:18 a.m. July 7. He was released on bond.

Kevin Raida, 25, 234 Marion, Bensenville, and Joseph Zieba, 24, 147 N. Edgewood, Wood Dale, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called for a suspicious vehicle parked in a cemetery at 520 E. Grand Ave. at 7 p.m. July 7. They were released on bond.

Eddisson Giron, 24, 3332 W. Hutchinson, Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over his red Mitsubishi at North and Evergreen at 12:38 a.m. July 6. He was released on bond.

Myles White, 23, 818 S. Ninth St., Maywood, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of open alcohol after the red Dodge Journey he was riding in was pulled over for no headlights at North and Ridgeland at 1:07 a.m. July 5. The driver, Michael Johnson, 29, 247 Buckthorn, Hillside, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license. They were released on bond.

Possession of Alcohol

Michael Micaletti, 22, 312 N. Ridgeland, Elmhurst, was cited for possession of alcohol on park property at Beren's Park, 400 N. Oaklawn, at 12:08 a.m. July 7. He was released at the scene.

Public Intoxication

Matthew Scumaci, 27, 2501 Forest Ave., North Riverside, was cited for public intoxication after police saw him walking on the shoulder of Roosevelt Road at Prospect attempting to get a ride from passing motorists at 3:52 a.m. July 14.
