Cheryl Luchetta is Back In Court This Week, Along With a Downers Grove Murder Case

Here's a look at some of the court cases Patch is keeping an eye on this week.

Cheryl Luchetta, the Elmhurst mother accused of trying to kill her son, is back in DuPage County Court this week. Also in court are a Downers Grove man who pled guilty to murdering his pregnant wife, a man recently indicted for a Naperville home invasion and a hearing to determine whether a local lawsuit against Jenna Jameson should be dismissed. Elmhurst— returns to court for a status hearing in her attempted murder case on Aug. 17. Luchetta is accused of trying to kill her 7-year-old son by giving him prescription and over-the-counter medicine.

Downers Grove—, who has pleaded guilty to stabbing his wife and unborn child to death, is set to begin sentencing Aug. 16. He faces up to 140 years in prison. The case is expected to continue through next month.

Downers Grove—, accused of stealing money from a local youth football program in Downers Grove, returns to court Aug. 17. Carlquist's attorneys and the state have been trying to nail down a possible restitution amount for a plea.

Lisle—, accused of attempting to pay someone to attack an estate executor, is scheduled for a status hearing on Aug. 16. Fromelius was arrested after a two-month investigation during which he tried to hire an undercover police officer to attack the executor.

Naperville—, a suspects in a June home invasion, returns to court Aug. 16. Guyton is one of four men who was recently charged with home invasion, armed robbery and residential burglary. He and the three other are accused of breaking into a woman's home, threatening her and taking her cell phone. Guyton is seeking a bond reduction so he can attend College of DuPage.

Naperville—The  returns to court Aug. 15. Jameson's attorneys want to disqualify Hollywood Theaters' attorneys and also have filed a dismissal motion. They contend there was no valid contract for her appearance at the Naperville location. They also question whether Jameson actually signed any agreement.
