Butthead—Elmhurst Cops Arrest Chicago Man For Dropping Cigarette on Ground: Police

The Chicago man was charged with littering.

A Chicago man took a trip down to the Elmhurst police station when a cop arrested him for dropping his cigarette on the ground, police said.

Zayon Johnson, 34, of 5315 S. Marshfield Ave. was charged with littering in connection with the 3:45 p.m. Thursday incident on Richard Avenue.

An officer was sent over to Richard Avenue to investigate a complaint of someone soliciting for a business, police said.

"Upon arrival the solicitor was located and found to have no permit," police said. "While speaking to (Johnson) he was being very uncooperative and threw the remainder of his cigarette on to the ground."

The officer told Johnson "multiple times to pick up his cigarette," police said, but Johnson "refused."

Johnson was "taken into custody and transported to the station," police said. He was later released on bond.
