Busy Saturday Night for Elmhurst Police

Elmhurst resident Jeremy Brady captured this photo of a white Mustang that was severely damaged in an accident at St. Charles Road and Route 83 Saturday night. 

It is unclear whether wet roads may have contributed to the crash.

Dispatch reports indicated the crash resulted in injuries, and ambulances from Elmhurst and Bensenville were on the scene.

Temperatures are hovering right around the freezing mark, with only rain falling Saturday night, but the area could see some snow by Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service. Much colder temperatures are  on the way for Monday and Tuesday, with a high only in the teens.

Elmhurst police and fire personnel also responded to a garage "engulfed" in flames Saturday night. Read more about the fire here.
