Burglar Breaks Into Church, Takes a Bite Out of Cake

Police have no suspects.

Elmhurst police were called to Faith Christian Reformed Church, 1070 S. Prospect Ave., after church personnel discovered a burglary at 8:30 a.m. July 10. The burglary had occurred sometime in the previous 23 hours, police said.

Police said a glass window was broken to gain entry, and several rooms had been disturbed.

A chocolate cake had been removed from the refrigerator, and a bite was taken out of it. Also, the words "I'm depressed" and "Emo" were written on a white board.

Police have no suspects.
