Bra-Thrower Escapes Elmhurst Kohl's Before Cops Arrive: Police

A security guard at the Elmhurst Kohl's thwarted a shoplifter but the crook escaped after hurling a bra.

The Elmhurst cops were called for a "shoplifting in progress" about 5:30 p.m. at the Route 83 Kohl's but the thief was gone by the time they arrived, police said.

"Suspect attempted to conceal a bra and leave the store without paying for it," police said. "When confronted by store security, suspect threw the bra towards security and left the store."

The police claim to have identified a suspect with whom they plan to "follow up."
