Bottle Thrown From Vehicle Hits Victim in the Mouth

Police also report arrests for alcohol and drugs.

Battery

A man who was traveling westbound on Crestview at York told police he was struck in the mouth by a bottle thrown from a black, newer model SUV at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 15. He refused medical treatment.

Possession of Cannabis

Leveil D. Lumpkin, 20, 1025 Aspen Drive Apt. 8, DeKalb, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after police pulled over his Chrysler Sebring for tinted windows at 110 W. North Ave. at 11:02 a.m. Aug. 16. Police also discovered Lumpkin was driving with a suspended license. He was released on bond.


Ashley Lynn Ulrich, 18, 518 Van Auken, Elmhurst, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after they were seen walking on a grassy area near Interstate 290 (York and Lake Street) at 1:56 p.m. Aug. 16. The boy also was charged with possession of tobacco.

DUI Arrests

Yazmin M. Demorest, 21, 1249 Pearl Ave. Apt. B, Glendale Heights, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license after police pulled over her Lincoln MKZ for speeding, failure to signal and expired registration at Grand and County Line Road at 12:40 a.m. Aug. 15. She was released on I-bond.

Disorderly Conduct

John P. McGivney, 42, 116 S. Elm Tree Lane, Elmhurst, was cited for public intoxication and obstructing justice at First and Haven at 6:36 p.m. Aug. 15. McGivney was taken to the hospital by medics.

Warrant Arrests

Anthony S. Archibald, 29, 1015 W. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of DuPage County after police pulled over his black Cadillac CTS for tinted windows and no front license place at North and Berteau at 9:47 a.m. Aug. 11. He was released on bond.

Jonathon B. Grassel, 36, 13461 Budworth Circle, Orland, Fla., was arrested on two warrants out of Naperville after police pulled over his Toyota Camry for speeding at 345 E. St. Charles Road at 6:10 p.m. Aug. 11. He posted bond on the warrants and was released.

Retail Theft Arrest

Ryan Thornton, 25, 1036 S. State St. Apt. 3, Lockport, was arrested and charged with retail theft and criminal trespass to state property after he reportedly took four bottles of vodka worth $188.95 from Dominick's, 215 S. Route 83, at 4:05 p.m. Aug. 15. He fled on foot and was located on the Canadian National Railroad property. He was released on bond.

Anthony Jordan, 20, 1157 S. Luther Ave., Lombard, was charged with retail theft after police said he took two cans of Red Bull from Dominick's, 215 S. Route 83, at 8:49 p.m. Aug. 15.
