Arrests for DUI and An Ordinance Violation at York Reported by Elmhurst Police

York Stadium lights were left on in the evening.

DUI Arrest

Lindsay B. Rinenbach, 30, 457 Stonewood Circle, Carol Stream, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over her silver Honda Civic for improper lane use at Route 83 and North Avenue at 8:32 p.m. Dec. 14. She also was charged with open alcohol and no insurance. She was released on I-bond.

DUI-Drugs

Jamison Raftery, 38, 9002 Pebble Beach Lane, Orland Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs after police pulled over his blue Volkswagon Golf for a red light violation at 3:50 a.m. Dec. 13 at North Avenue and Oak Street. He also was charged with driving with no insurance, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper display of license plates and no drivers license on his person. He was released on I-bond.

Zoning Ordinance Violation

Police were dispatched to York High School on a report that the stadium lights at Clarence D. East Field, St. Charles and Spring Road, had been left on with no activities taking place at 6:39 p.m. Dec. 13.

Child Neglect

An Elmhurst Public Works employee found a young child without shoes or a coat at the corner of Haven and Schiller streets at 10:12 a.m. Dec. 8. Police were checking with neighbors in the area when the child's mother ran out of an apartment complex looking for the child. She said the child left the home while she was sleeping, likely by pushing a stool up to the door and unlatching it. No charges were filed.

Taxi License Violation

Thomas Campagna, 56, 3034 S. Harlem, Riverside, was cited for operating a taxicab without an Elmhurst taxi license at 10:11 p.m. Dec. 10 at Extended Stay America, 550 W. Grand Ave. He was released at the scene.
