Alcohol Arrests Include Two Underage Drivers, and Baseball Bat Used in Fight

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI Arrests
Evan A. Nutile, 20, 890 Saylor, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with zero tolerance DUI at 12:13 a.m. Feb. 17. Police said Nutile was driving 58 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone right before he crashed his gray BMW into a concrete barrier in Berkley. He was released on I-bond.

Haydee Lazala 32, 246 Terry Lane, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over her white Mercury Sable for speeding and no headlights at Route 83 and St. Charles Road at 1:42 a.m. Feb. 17.

A 17-year-old girl was arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and violation of curfew after the red Honda Civic she was driving was pulled over for speeding and violating a stop sign at West Avenue and Crockett at 4:13 a.m. Feb. 18. She was released to her mother.

Andrew L. Means, 51, 949 N. York Road, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his white Cadillac STS for improper lane use at Grand Avenue and I-290 at 1:46 a.m. Feb. 19. He also was found to be in possession of .2 grams of crack cocaine. In addition to DUI, he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. A passenger in the car, Lorean R. Kendal, 40, 1242 S. 19th Ave., Maywood, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on I-bond.

Robert Johnson, 47, 1934 Farnham Court, Schaumburg, was arrested and charged with DUI after police responded to St. Charles and Holly for a domestic argument at 2:54 a.m. Feb. 19. Johnson was driving his red Chevrolet Cobalt alongside a woman who was walking on the sidewalk. Johnson said she had gotten out of the car on I-290. Police found open alcohol in his center console, and Johnson reportedly admitted to drinking. Police also discovered he had a suspended license. He was released on I-bond.

Vincent E. Blackwell, 50, 4708 W. Jackson Blvd. Apt. 2, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after he was found slumped over the wheel of his beige Oldsmobile Silhouette at St. Charles and Hillside at 5:58 p.m. Feb. 19. He also was charged with stopping or parking where prohibited, no insurance, no seat belt and possession of cannabis. He was released on bond.

William B. King, 43, 370 Holly St., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Dodge Durango for improper lane use at McKinley and Prospect at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 20. He was released on I-bond.

Samantha Jourige, 22, 600 S. York, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over her gray Ford Escape for improper lane use at North and West avenues at 12:49 a.m. Feb. 21.

Battery

Four teens were arrested after an incident at West Avenue and First Street at 1:48 p.m. Feb. 20. Officers responded to a report of a man hitting a teen with a baseball bat. They learned that a fight broke out between two teens over a camera. The father of one of the teens saw the altercation from his vehicle and attempted to break up the fight. Police said he struck the other teen with a baseball bat. Both boys were taken to the hospital and have not been charged pending further investigation. The other boys, who were witnesses at the scene, reportedly admitted to drinking vodka and were arrested for consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were released to their mother.

Resisting Arrest

Stacia Dockins, 19, 530 Westmore, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance and resisting arrest after police pulled over her gray Volkswagon Beetle for speeding at North and West avenues at 5:06 a.m. Feb. 19. She was released on bond.

Possession of Cannabis
Paul M. Blanchard, 39, 17W454 Riordan, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and driving with a suspended license after police pulled over his green GMC Sierra for expired registration at Roosevelt and York roads at 6:16 p.m. Feb. 18. He also was charged with driving without insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on I-bond.
