"666" Painted on Elmhurst Masonic Lodge Among Graffiti Found in the Past Week

Some similarities in letters and paint found in different areas throughout town.

Someone painted markings with black paint on the wall of Elmhurst Pointe Apartments, 111 W. Third St., between 12:01 a.m. May 12 and 10:20 a.m. May 15. Damage is estimated at $200.

Someone wrote "obsin" in black paint on the east side of the Adelaide parking deck, 120 W. Adelaide. The graffiti was discovered at 2:04 a.m. May 19.

Someone wrote the word "revolt" along with the anarchist symbol on a shed on the 100 block of North Addison between 7:30 and 9:40 p.m. May 20.

The word "STRAY" in an anarchist star and "666" were spray-painted in black on the north side of the Elmhurst Masonic Lodge, 195 W. North Avenue sometime between 6 p.m. May 20 and 7 a.m. May 21. A heart and "666" were found painted on the west side of the building.

"JAPS" was found painted in yellow and "SLEY" was found in pink spray paint on the walls of the underpass at North Avenue and Emroy at 9 a.m. May 21.

"Jar" and "sley" were painted in red on the AT&T phone box near Third and Addison at 9:23 a.m. May 21. The markings were similar to those found at the North and Emroy underpass.

Someone spray-painted the pedestrian underpass at Myrtle and North Avenue in dark red paint between noon May 18 and 9:30 a.m. May 21.
