19-year-old Crashes Car Into House

No one inside the house was injured.

The residents of a home on the 600 block of South Spring Road were startled by a loud crash at 12:21 a.m. June 9, when a 19-year-old woman rammed her Chevy Tahoe SUV into the house.

Shequoia Q. Ross, of 346 S. Stewart Ave., Lombard, reportedly was driving drunk when she veered off the roadway and into the front yard of the home, striking its east side, just to the left of the front door.

Ross suffered minor injuries. She was treated and released at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. The SUV was towed from the scene.

No one in the home was injured.

Ross was charged with DUI, driving too fast for conditions, consumption of alcohol by a minor and improper lane use. She was released on I-bond.
