United States Post Office in Elmhurst not delivering!

I realize that this winter season has been difficult on many people.   My gripe however is with the USPS of Elmhurst.   Our mail is not being delivered even when the weather is in the 20's.   I have attempted to speak to the post master at the local office, however i was told that the post master will not be returning soon because of surgery.   I spoke to two supervisors both named Joe on various occasions and was told that it is a staffing issue, then I was told it was a union issue.   The fact is while many parts of Elmhurst are recieving mail daily, our section is being neglected.   I no longer receive any of the local news or printed mailings that are distributed in bulk.  This week we either had no delived mail or our mail arrived close to 8pm.   I was told I could write to the Consumer Advocate in Washington, D.C.    I am writing to ask for suggestions or if others can share similiar issues with the mail service.   Im located near the quarry.
