Hard to know where to begin when praising the talents of Karen Lee at Total Window Treatments in ELMHURST on Spring Road. She is a pleasure to work with, never pushy or in a rush when time consuming decisions need to be made. She has turned our house into a cozy and comfortable home! Beautiful window treatments, furnishing rooms, and many accent pieces like rugs or lighting add detail and design that can not be missed. In addition to her expertise in design she is a kind soul who cares for her customers and families. ELMHURST is lucky to have Karen to patron while supporting local businesses! Leonore Kranov

My vote goes to Karen Lee @ Total Window Treatments, hands down! I've worked with a few other designers who do decent jobs, but Karen understood exactly what I wanted after rambling on so many ideas in my head. Being the picky guy I am, she showed me tons of examples and put together the perfect home for me (she did 3 rooms for me). I recently moved here and bought my very first house, a bit aged too (which needed some desperate help). She had a flexible schedule, came to me with her supplies and ideas, and made it effortless for me. She knows how to connect with you... I LOVE my place, and I get many many compliments from friends and family on the design. (they knew I didn't do it!) She even keeps in touch afterwards to make sure it is perfect. If you are similar to me, go and visit Karen on Spring Rd.

Karen Lee of Total Window Treatments is AMAZING! She is friendly, personable, and fun to work with. She creates beautiful, timeless, comfortable interiors and has impeccable taste. She builds on your ideas and presents options you never knew existed - her ideas are unique, interesting and inspiring. I absolutely adore her as a person, friend, and professional and couldn't say enough good things about her design work!

My choice is Karen Lee of Total Window Treatments. The name of store is misleading because she offers complete design services. She has helped me with many projects from entire room make-overs to simple repairs of an existing blind and toss pillows. She brought her knowledge and expertise into my home and helped me select paint colors, choose accessories, and place furniture. She listens to all the craziness that rambles around and spills out of my brain, thinks about how we live, and then pulls it all together to fit us perfectly! Our home is stylish. Our home is comfortable. Our home is us. Thank you Karen Lee!

Rice-Moriarty Designs is a wonderful design company in Elmhurst. I have worked with Carolyn on a number of projects regarding my house. Every time, it has been a pleasure to work with her. Carolyn knows how to find those little touches that complete a room. She has helped me pick out a number of fabrics for different rooms in my house. Each time she found out a wonderful variety of fabrics for me to choose from. If there has been a delay in shipment of fabric or rugs, Carolyn has always communicated to me. She has even come up with other solutions. I have loved these years of working with Carolyn on my home projects.

I vote for Shelly Valdisserri of Decorating Made Simple. She helped us with blinds in our home however, 90 % of my experience with Shelly has been with my clients whom I refer to Shelly. She has been amazing, from a simple room staging to a whole house remodel. No job is too small or too large for her - she even went to Wisconsin to help a my with their Lake Geneva home. I use her and refer her with complete confidence !

Our vote is for Rice-Moriarty Design! Carolyn turned our frenetic colored house into a home filled with a sense of calm and cohesive colors flowing from one room to the next. We weren't sure which room to tackle first. Carolyn met with us and quickly prioritized the projects according to budget, functionality and the "wow" factor. We really felt that she understood our need to collaborate between Designer and Client. Her passion for design came through with each and every room from the paint color to the curtains, upholstery and rugs to the vase on the end table. We always loved bold colors, but Carolyn showed us how changing the palete of our home could make our house tranquil. She stays on budget, is incredibly professional and her organizational skills were impressive. Carolyn Rice Moriarty is a gem in our little town of Elmhurst!
