William Zawadzki

William J. "Bill" Zawadzki, a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy, has died.

Mr. Zawadzki is survived by his wife, Michele; his brother, Dennis; and his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York, Elmhurst; A funeral Mass with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, 426 N. West Ave., Elmhurst.

Mary Louise Long

Mary Louise Long (nee Reilly), formerly of Elmhurst, has died. She was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception and Visitation parishes in Elmhurst, a volunteer driver and cook with Meals on Wheels, and a volunteer at PADS and Elmhurst Extended Care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William. She is survived by her children, Dennis, Mary Jean, Terry and Kevin, her 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Road, Elmhurst. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York Road, Elmhurst.

Phyllis Lorenz

Phyllis Ada Lorenz, 90, died Monday, Oct. 28. She spent most of her life in Elmhurst.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur. She is survived by her son, Mark, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive, Sugar Grove. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 27 S. Edgelawn, Aurora. Interment will be at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.

Elaine Groat

Elaine M. Groat, 66, died Sunday, Oct. 27, at Edward Hospital. She was a teacher at Sandburg Junior High School in Elmhurst, and West Aurora, Downers Grove South and Waubonsie high schools.

She is survived by her husband, James, and her son, James Groat IV.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home in Naperville. A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the funeral home.

Delores Kuehl

Delores Kuehl, 88, formerly of Elmhurst, died Sunday, Oct. 27. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Elmhurst, where she taught Bible studies to girls and ladies. She also sang in the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert. She is survived by her children, James, Dan, Nathan, Tim and Nancy, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
