Vito Carnevale

Vito Carnevale, a veteran of the U.S. Marines, has died.

Visitation for Mr. Carnevale, a loving father, husband, brother and friend to many, will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York, Elmhurst. Memorial donations are requested to the Elmhurst American Legion Post 187.

Kenneth E. Owens, 89, a long-time resident of Elmhurst, has died. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Elks Lodge and Visitation Church in Elmhurst. 

As an elevator constructor, he participated in the building of such landmarks as the John Hancock building and the Sears Tower.

Mr. Owens is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Marie; his daughter, Virginia; and his many nieces and nephews.

Services were held Tuesday at Visitation Church.

Esther Ragusin

Esther Q. Ragusin (nee Qualeatti), 90, of Elmhurst, has died. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. She is survived by her children, Thomas, Jeanne and Robert, her four grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday at Visitation Church, 779 S. York Road.

Edna Kirchhoff

Edna D. Kirchhoff, 103, died in her sleep on Sunday, Sept. 22, at Elmhurst Extended Care Center.

Mrs. Kirchhoff was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas. She is survived by her sons, Richard and Daniel, her five grandchildren and her two great-grandchildren.
