Steven Purtell

Steven Michael Purtell, 49, of Warrenville, formerly of Elmhurst, died suddenly on Aug. 24.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe. He is survived by his children, Courtney and Dakota "Cody"; his mother, Gerrie; his sister, Laura; and his soul-mate, Myra.

A visitation was held Aug. 28.

Martin Mazurk

Martin C. Mazurk, 89, of Elmhurst, has died. He was a World War II Army Air Corp veteran, 391st Bombadier group, and a retired Nalco Chemical Co. employee.

Mr. Mazurk is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Mary, Christine and Leslie; and his seven grandchildren.

A funeral was held Aug. 30 in Villa Park.

Ray Jozaitis

Ray Jozaitis, longtime Elmhurst resident, has died. He was an Army veteran of World War II. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rita; his children, Pete and Maribeth; and his five grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Aug. 31 in Elmhurst.

Alice Nagel

Alice Nagel (nee Straetz), 98, of Oakbrook Terrace, formerly of Elmhurst, has died.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harry Thomas Nagel, and her son, Thomas. She is survived by her children, Steve and Jean, and her two grandchildren.

Services and interment were private.

Richard Schumacker

Richard Schumacker, 86, of Elmhurst, died Aug. 23. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
