Death Notices: Stanley Vachta and Ardele Payne, both of Elmhurst
Funeral for Mr. Vachta will be next Saturday, services for Mrs. Payne are private
Stanley Vachta
Stanley J. Vachta, 86, of Elmhurst, has died. He was a member of the Elmhurst Citizens Police Academy and Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, and he served on the Elmhurst Symphony Board.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary, and his son, Michael. He is survived by his children, Maureen and Kerry, and his five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst. A service will be held at 4 p.m. that day at the funeral home.

Ardele Payne
Ardele Josephine Payne, 95, of Elmhurst, died Aug. 7. She was preceded in death by her son, William. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, William, and her son, Thomas.
Services and interment are private.
