Robert White

Robert J. White, 88, has died. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the American Legion. He was a former employee of AT&T.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie; his siblings and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York Road, Elmhurst.

Anne Dusek

Anne Dusek (nee Vydra), 85, of Elmhurst, died Oct. 29. She was a member of Sokol Spirit and Lodge Harrison CSA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her son, Joseph, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at Svec & Sons Funeral Home, 6227 W. Cermak Road, Berwyn. A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday Nov. 4.

George Jovanovich Jr.

George "Who" Jovanovich Jr., 84, of Elmhurst, died Oct. 31. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, with Masonic services at 6 p.m. and a Pomen service at 7 p.m. at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet.

Rachel Gibson

Rachel Myers Gibson, 20, died Oct. 25 after a long battle with leukemia. She was a graduate of Willowbrook High School in Lombard, and a communications and political science major at Elmhurst College, where she sang in the women's choir, participated in a multitude of service projects and was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at Chapel Hill Gardens Weset Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Yorkfield Presbyterian Church, 1099 S. York Road, Elmhurst.

Theodore Cybularz

Theodore Joseph Cybularz, 90, formerly a professor of management and business administration at Elmhurst College, College of DuPage and Aurora University, died Oct. 29.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific Theater.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, Michael, Theodore and Lauren; his step-daughter, Susan; and his six grandchildren.

Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
