Death Notices: Robert Spahn, Doreen Nelson
Visitation is Sunday for Mr. Spahn, and a memorial service will be held next month for Mrs. Nelson, a former District 205 teacher.
Robert Spahn
Robert F. "Bob" Spahn, 76, of Oak Brook, formerly of Elmhurst, has died. He was a financial representative at Northwestern Mutual and lifetime member of Million Dollar Round Table.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Robert, Kevin, Jim and Mark; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Road, Elmhurst. A Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S. York, Elmhurst.

Doreen Nelson
Doreen J. Nelson (nee Soukup), a former teacher at Conrad Fischer, Hawthorne, Jackson and Edison schools in Elmhurst District 205, died July 25.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. She is survived by her sons, Ronald and Kenneth, and her three grandchildren.
She enjoyed membership in the Elmhurst Evening Women's Club and Elmhurst Panhellenic, among other activities.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, 367 Spring Road.
