Patricia Chessman Bergstrom

Patricia Chessman Bergstrom, 89, died Saturday, Oct. 12. 

She earned her degree at Elmhurst College in 1971, and served as a college trustee from 1978-1991. She also was on the Executive Committee, was a member of the college's Leadership Gifts Committee, and received the Founder's Medal in 1991.

Her four children and seven of her grandchildren also graduated from Elmhurst College. Donations to the Bergstrom Family Endowed Scholarship Fund at Elmhurst College are requested by the family.

Mrs. Bergstrom was preceded in death by her husband, Richard. She is survived by her children, George, Jill, Laura and Marty, her eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday.

E. Joan Jarr

E. Joan Jarr, 68, of Elmhurst, has died. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald. She is survived by her children, Cybele, Genet and John, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Wednesday in Elmhurst.
