Kathleen Leahy

Kathleen C. Leahy (nee Connon), 66, of Elmhurst, has died. She is survived by her husband, W. Daniel; her children, Daniel, Bridget, Matthew and Elizabeth; and her five grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Road, Elmhurst.

Virginia McNamara

Virginia E. McNamara (nee Schaefer), 84, a lifelong resident of Elmhurst, has died. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served as a Sunday school teacher and vacation Bible school teacher. She was a former employee of Illinois Bell and Elmhurst National Bank.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo. She is survived by her son, Timothy, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 345 S. Kenilworth Ave., Elmhurst.

Michael Cozzi

Michael J. Cozzi, 58, of Elmhurst, died Dec. 15. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Ashley, Melissa and Brett; and his mother, Jeanette.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York, Elmhurst. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, 426 N. West Ave., Elmhurst.

Bill Burkes

H.W. "Bill" Burkes, 73, of Waverly, Iowa, died Dec. 15. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Gwen of Cedar Falls, Carolyn of Austin, Minn., and Mike of Tiffin, Ohio; his eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and his siblings, Marilyn Kunkle of Cedar Falls and Robert Hoel of Elmhurst.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, in Iowa. a funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, in Janesville.

Barbara Walsh

Barbara Ann Walsh, 84, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and formerly of Elmhurst, died Dec. 12. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, just five months prior.

She is survived by her children, Barbara, JoNell and Marcia; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, in Arizona.
