Marvin Hayman, 95, formerly of Elmhurst, has died. He was a veteran of the US Marines and US Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine. He is survived by his children, Roger, Jerry, James, Susan, Marlene and Lori, and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 142 E. Third St., Elmhurst.

Gerald Holdway

Gerald Holdway, 73, of Elmhurst, has died. He is survived by his wife, Nancy June; his children, Allen, Pamela, Steven and April; his seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home.

Ralph Tellefsen Jr.

Ralph F. Tellefsen Jr., longtime Elmhurst businessman, has died. He owned a real estate and insurance business on York Road for more than 50 years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Charmaine; his children, Charmaine, Ralph III, and Christiane; and his three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Road, Elmhurst. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 345 S. Kenilworth Ave., Elmhurst.

Connie Weatherford

Connie Weatherford (nee Bergren) of Elmhurst, died Saturday, Dec. 28. She was very active in local charities.

She is survived by her husband and best friend, Steve. Memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst. Services and interment are private.

Timothy Raffen

Timothy J. Raffen, 61, of Elmhurst, died Dec. 18. He was a veteran of the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, a brother and his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marsha; his children, Christopher and Kimberly; and his three grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 5 at the Elmhurst American Legion, 310 W. Butterfield Road.

Betty Knoedler

Betty Knoedler, 85, of Carol Stream, died Sunday, Dec. 22, at her home. She was a teacher at York High School in Elmhurst for several years, and was named Alumna of the Year by Wheaton College in 2004.

She is survived by her husband, Gunther; her children, Ruth and Rick; her six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at College Church in Wheaton.

Sandra Haley-Brosseau

Sandra Lynn Haley-Brosseau, a 1975 graduate of York High School in Elmhurst, has died. She was a 20-year employee of Jewel Foods and a bookkeeper for Top Shelf Painting in Elmhurst.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty June Sparks. She is survived by her husband, Rick, and her father, Thomas Haley.

Services were held Saturday.
