Dr. Charlotte Blain

Dr. Charlotte M. Blain, 72, longtime Elmhurst resident, died suddenly Oct. 18.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hamby. She is survived by her son, Dr. Charles Hamby, and her two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst.  A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur St., Elmhurst.

John Allen

John Philip Allen Jr., 71, of Elmhurst, died Oct. 18. He taught elementary school music for more than 30 years in Elmhurst public schools, and he was on the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra Association Board for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Amy, and his sister, Lynne.

Allan Koropp

Allan Edward Koropp, 82, formerly of Elmhurst, has died. He was preceded in death by his wife, Italia. He is survived by his children, Sandra and David, and his six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to the time of service at noon Friday, Oct. 25, at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst.
