Alice Duerkop

Alice Duerkop (nee Drechsel), 92, died Oct. 7.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her grandchild, Kendall. She is survived by her children, John, Deborah, Patricia, Mary Alice, Wendy, Christine and David; and her 10 grandchildren; and her 12 great-grandchildren.

Her family will received friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. at Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York St., Elmhurst.

Richard Kuehl

Richard R. Kuehl, 64, died Oct. 9. He was a retired guitar, violin and piano teacher for Downers Grove, Wood Dale and Elmhurst park districts. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Madelyn; his children, Rick and Jordan; and his mother, Verona.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 21W500 Butterfield Road, Lombard.

Daniel Bash

Daniel Bash, 84, formerly of Elmhurst and Oak Brook, died Sept. 1. He was one of the founders of Suburban Bank & Trust, and he was a board member of First Congregational Church of Elmhurst, where he established its endowment fund. He also was president of the Chicago Contract Bridge Association.

He was preceded in death by his son, Tom. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maxine; his son, John Philip; and his three grandchildren.
