Death Notice: Wanda Sabin, 86, Former York High School Teacher

Wanda Sabin, 86, of Plainfield, died Friday, Jan. 25. Born in Naples, Italy, Sabin immigrated to the United States in 1948 and earned a master's degree in Italian literature from the University of Chicago. She was an Italian teacher at York High School and College of DuPage for more than 20 years.

She is survived by five children, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home and Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville. Entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
