Death Notice: Robert Magnuson, Former CEO, President of Elmhurst Memorial Hospital
Memorial service is planned for Jan. 5 at Medinah.
Robert M. Magnuson, 85, formerly of Elmhurst, died on Friday, Nov. 16. He was chief executive officer and president of Elmhurst Memorial Hospital from 1966 to 1992. The Magnuson Pavilion, a wing constructed in 1992 at the old hospital campus on Berteau Avenue, was named after him.
He also was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Medinah Country Club, 6N001 Medinah Road. Interment is private.
