Patricia A. (Smyth) Sheehan, 86, formerly of Elmhurst, has died.
Mrs. Sheehan is survived by six children, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Born in Belfast, Ireland, she became a U.S. citizen at age 18, attended DePaul University, became a flight attendant and eventually lived in Elmhurst for 15 years, where she was active at 132 Arthur St., Elmhurst. She also lived in Skokie, Barrington, Glen Ellyn, Oak Park and Toledo, Ohio.
Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 21, at Gibbons Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in DesPlaines.
