Death Notice: Daniel Connell, 48, of Elmhurst

Daniel J. Connell, 48, a lifetime resident of Elmhurst, has died.

He was a former Elmhurst Extreme and Elmhurst Airborne Coach; beloved husband of Alicia (nee Christensen); loving father of Brendan and Michael; cherished son of Frank and Dorothy (nee Brown); dear brother of Kevin, Clare (Glen) Klock, Brian (Cammie), Terese Klinger, John, and David (Rebecca) and brother-in law of Lynda (David) McDonald; fond uncle of Justin, Jacob, Jesse, Jayme, Dan, Matt, Jordan, Bryan, Steve, Sean, Frankie, Nathan (Rebecca), Adam (Michelle), Kennedy, Jack, Melanie, Joshua and Jordan and great-uncle of Rhea Lynn and Nathan. 

A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday morning, Aug. 21, at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Elmhurst. He was interred at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Gibbons Funeral Home in Elmhurst.
