Death Notice: Christine Long, 54

Christine Marie Long, 54, has died. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lenore, and her sister, Kathleen. She is survived by her siblings, Maureen, Thomas, Neil and Anne. 

Christine was a brilliant business executive, working for 30 years in executive positions the Chicago business and banking community. She served on a number of boards, including at Northwestern and Loyola universities, the Committee of 200, the Joffrey Ballet and the Chicago Club. She gave generously of her time and resources to several philanthropic causes.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York, Elmhurst. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur St., Elmhurst.
