Oak Park Huskies, 19, Grant Bulldogs, 0, at Elmhurst College Saturday

FYI Football

I was at a little league football game at Elmhurst College yesterday to witness the Grant Bulldogs play the Oak Park Huskies.

The game started off very competitive for both teams, but the Huskies scored quickly and took over the game. The Huskies scored the first touchdown of the game, and it was competitive until the Huskies got the ball back and decided to score again. The Huskies took a commanding 13-0 halftime lead. They missed the 5-yard extra point.

There were a few turnovers in the game. The coach for the Bulldogs told his team, down by 13-0, "I want the ball." The very next play, the Bulldogs actually recover a fumble and gave the coach the ball.

The fans from Fox Lake for the Bulldogs were very excited about their football team even though they were down by 13 points.

The Huskies of Oak Park didn’t  stop there. They got the ball back and marched down the field for another score as #16, the quarterback, scooted around the corner for a touchdown.

The other two scores for the Huskies came from #9 the running back.

It was a very competitive game, but the score didn’t reflect that as the Huskies dominated on the score board 19-0.
