Reindeer Route Housewalk Offers a Peek Inside Homes Beautifully Decorated for the Holidays

Thirty-five years. That’s how long Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Guild has been organizing its Reindeer Route Housewalk.

The longstanding tradition will continue this year on Friday, Dec. 2, and it will feature the homes of six Elmhurst residents.

Hosted by the Elmhurst Junior Unit of the guild, all event proceeds benefit projects and programs of Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare.

Participants can tour the following Elmhurst homes, beautifully decorated for the holidays by local florists, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., and 6 and 9 p.m.:

• 508 S. Stratford Ave., owned by Alison and Pete Dondlinger, decorated by A Stem Above
• 188 E. Elmhurst Ave., owned by Mark and Rosie Anglewicz, decorated by The Uptown Shop
• 0S568 S. Cedar, owned by Lynn and Gene Suwanski, decorated by Shamrock Garden Florist Ltd.
• 187 E. Vallette, owned by Kelly and Chris Smith, decorated by Phillip’s Flowers and Gifts
• 285 S. Poplar, owned by Pam and Damon Simpson, decorated by Carousel Flowers
• 409 S. Mitchell, owned by Kate and Jason Caliento, decorated by Luurs Garden & Flower Shoppe

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased in advance at the following Elmhurst locations:

• at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital’s main campus

On the day of the walk, tickets will be available for purchase for $30 at any of the featured homes. Participants are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare pediatric patients. Toys will be collected at all featured homes on the day of the Housewalk.

Participants also are invited to gather on the day of the event for several special offers from local restaurants:
