Elmhurst Girls Finish Second and Third in Their Age Groups at Brookfield Zoo Run Run
Ages 6 to 78 participated in the run Sept. 25 through scenic Brookfield Zoo.
Ellen Barry, 16, and Julia Olander, 9, of Elmhurst participated in the Brookfield Zoo Run Run to benefit the Chicago Zoological Society Conservation Fund Sept. 25.
One thousand racers participated in the 5-K race that wound between animal exhibits at the zoo.
Ellen finished second in the 15- to 19-year-old age group; Julie finished third in the 8- to 14-year-old age group.
