Elmhurst Farmers Market Opens Season Today

Olives, olive oil and pickles for sale, along with fruits, vegetables, plants and more.

Olives, olive oil and pickles - along with the usual  fruits and vegetables  -will be among the items for sale at the Elmhurst Farmer Market as it opens another season on Wednesday, June 6, on Vallette Street, just east of York Road.

The market will operate from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays until Oct. 31.

Items sold will include plants; baked goods; produce; consumable items; and arts and crafts.

Vendors scheduled to sell during the year include The Art Box; Berry’s Berries; Breadsmith;  Frosted; Elmhurst Olive Oil; Jake’s Country Meats; The Cheese People; Fraternite Notre Dame; Roger’s Blue; Carney Brothers; Nichols Farm and Orchard; and Ludwig Creamery.

Also Huntington, Pampered Chef; Twin Gardens Farm; Olives 4 You; Juice Plus; Labriola; Elena’s Cuchina; Cooper Farm; The Pickle Guy; Wildtree; Cria Honey; Fresco; and Table Top.

The market will close during inclement weather.

Vallette Street is one block north of Crescent Avenue and about four blocks south of St. Charles Road.

The Elmhurst York and Vallette Business Association sponsor the farmers market.
