You can drop off old computers and cell phones, and even appliances like toasters and hair dryers. Sponsored by Elmhurst College and the City of Elmhurst.
Starting on Jan. 1, the city’s waste hauler, Allied Waste, will no longer take electronics in weekly, curbside pick-ups, therefore the city encourages residents to take part in this recycling event. All electronic equipment is acceptable with the exception of manifested hazardous waste, radioactive waste, biohazardous waste or mercury containing devices.
