Quick Look: What Have The Orwells Been Up to Lately?

Anybody who follows the Midwestern punk scene is no doubt tuned in to the steady climb of Elmhurst band, The Orwells. 

When we talked to them last year, the feeling was that they might be on the edge of something big. That was an understatement; their name has been popping everywhere.

Their latest accolade: an 18-photo gallery on Rolling Stone. 

They've also been written up in

• The Lantern

They played Lollapalooza last summer and just finished a US tour with FIDLAR last month.

And, tickets are on sale now for their six-stop tour of the UK. 

So, yeah, some pretty big things are happening for The Orwells. 

The band is composed of singer Mario Cuomo (the oldest, at 20), guitarists Dominic Corso and Matt O'Keefe, bassist Grant Brinner and drummer Henry Brinner.
