IC Catholic Prep Welcomes 30 New Members Into National Honor Society

Good grades are just the beginning for NHS students.

Thirty new inductees were presented at IC Catholic Prep's annual National Honor Society induction ceremony. Senior NHS Vice-President Tom Guinan greeted the students, faculty and family members, and in a special prayer service, the inductees were presented with pins and signed the Librum Honorarium.

Class of 1978 alumna Marilyn (Danforth) Maurella was the featured speaker. The celebration continued at the NHS induction breakfast sponsored by the
ICCP Parents Club.

Membership in National Honor Society is designed to give recognition to students who display outstanding scholarship, character, leadership and service. Once elected, members have the responsibility to continue to these virtues.

At IC Catholic Prep, juniors and seniors with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average may apply for membership or renewal. They will then be evaluated on the basis of scholarship, character, leadership and service.
