Flag Disposal Ceremony

The Elmhurst American Legion, THB Post 187, will be conducting a Flag Disposal Ceremony at the Post Home, 310 West Butterfield Road, Elmhurst, IL, at 2:00 PM, Saturday. June 11, 2011.  Anyone having old and tattered flags that are no longer serviceable is asked to bring them to the Post for disposal in an honored and respectful manner.  The ceremony, conducted my members of the Post, creates a dignified and solemn occasion for the retirement of unserviceable flags.   Flags can be dropped off at the Post Monday through Saturday, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, or bring them Saturday, June 11 and stay for the ceremony.
