Community Corner

Care Walk for Canines

A one-mile course around the College Mall, located at the heart of Elmhurst’s arboretum campus. Area pet supply vendors, rescue groups, and a canine police unit, among others, will be on hand to share information and goodies for pets and their people. All dogs must be current on vaccines, licensed, leashed and under control at all times and owners are asked to clean up after their pets. Community water bowls will be provided along the walk. Each participant is asked to handle only one dog at the walk. Proceeds benefiting Help-A-Pet, a nonprofit organization providing nationwide financial assistance for the medical care of pets whose owners are unable to afford the expense.
