Elmhurst Rotary, Diplomat West To Host 20th Thanksgiving Dinner

No need to be alone on Thanksgiving with this festive dinner to attend.

Elmhurst Rotary Club and Diplomat West Banquets have finalized plans for their 20th annual Thanksgiving dinner.

The festive event begins at noon Thanksgiving day, Nov. 28, and is open to the whole community, Chairman Bill Sakash said, but a special invitation is extended to residents who would be alone or without another place to celebrate the holiday.

“It’s our way of expressing gratitude for the good things we experience in our lives and a special way to give something back to our community,” he said.

Rotarians, family members and community volunteers will serve guests turkey
dinners with all the trimmings. Magician Bob James will entertain youngsters attending the festive holiday affair.

The Diplomat West is located at 681 W. North Ave., just west of Route 83.
