Auditions for Elmhurst Children's Theatre Sketch Comedy Troupe

Elmhurst Children’s Theatre announces auditions for its 7th season of the Unintentionally Hilarious Sketch Comedy Troupe.

Do people always tell you that you’re funny? Do you want to write and perform your own original comedy material?  ECT offers this exciting opportunity to make comedy together right here at home and then take your show on the road to Chicago.

"Elmhurst Children's Theatre Sketch Comedy Troupe was the single best class/camp/activity/event that my daughter ever did," says Lisa O'Halloran. "The program is inexpensive, the director is fabulous and the kids are super nice, fun and kind. They perform in an international showcase held right in Chicago. She participated three years in a row and would have kept going, but aged out of the program. I can't say enough positives about Elmhurst Children's Theatre Sketch Comedy Troupe!"

Tim leads and coaches the troupe to write and perform their own comedy sketches. The group of kids chosen for Unintentionally Hilarious Sketch Comedy Troupe will perform their own original comedy show on Saturday, May 3 at the Teen Comedy Fest in Chicago and also at a show at Fitz's Spare Keys (date to be announced).

Teen Comedy Fest is designed to provide unparalleled opportunities in comedy performance and study for teenagers on a national level. As the largest gathering of teen comedians, the fest has featured over 100 teen improvisors, sketch comedians, and stand-up comics from all across the nation! Teen Comedy Fest consists of a day of workshops taught by established artists from the Chicago area, and concludes with performances from all teams participating in the festival.
