Recycle Your Cooking Oil Into Biofuel

Elmhurst's Public Works Department is sponsoring a Liquid Cooking Oil Recycling Drive. Bring used liquid cooking oil in milk jugs, buckets or containers to Public Works, 985 S. Riverside Drive, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 30. Oil will be recycled into bio-fuel.

Cooking oil sticks to sewer pipes, causing clogs and breaks that are costly for homeowners and cities to fix. Grease can interfere with water treatment at our sanitary facilities.
