NAMI of DuPage County (The National Alliance
on Mental Illness) will be offering the free NAMI Family to Family Education
course for families and caregivers of adults diagnosed with mental
illnesses.  The 12-week series of classes will be held:

 Location:

Knox Presbyterian Church, Naperville,
Thursdays,
February 6th- April
24th
, 7-9:30pm

NAMI DuPage Office, Wheaton, Wednesday, February 12 - April 30th, 7-9:30 pm

 The
course is offered at no charge and is taught by two trained teachers who have
experienced mental illness in their own families.

Some comments from past participants in this
program:

“Hearing each family’s story helped me realize
I was not alone.”

“The course is very informative. It gives me a
better understanding of the “system” and the individual with a mental illness.
NAMI is doing a great job in bringing mental illness out in the open and to the
public.”

“The class provided an optimistic outlook for
myself and my family. Also gave me the tools to move forward.”

While the Family to Family program is an
educational course, NAMI DuPage also has support groups at various
locations.  For information on support groups or to register for the
Family to Family course, call
