Music Mania

A Book Above Bookstore in Elmhurst is hosting a day-long event focused on MUSIC on Saturday, April 26th from 9 am to 6 pm.  The event is sponsored by Readers Ignite, a local charity for children's literacy.

Performers and speakers are scheduled throughout the day and there will also be a special assortment of music-related books at all reading levels available for sale.

Here's the line-up:

10 - 10:30 am  Story Time for ages 2-5 (music-related, of course!)

10:30 - 11 am  Story Time for ages 5-9

11 -12  Kenny Hass, singer/guitarist 

1-2 pm  Rich Rubietta, children's singer/songwriter/musician  

3-4 pm Dean Milano, folksinger and author of "The Chicago Music Scene: 1960's and 1970's"

4-5 pm Lilli Kuzma, Host of "Folk Festival" on 90.9 WDCB Public Radio with special guest Mim Eichmann (from the Celtic Folk band, Trillium) playing hammered dulcimer. 

5-6 pm  Tania Brown, Celtic fiddler
