Learn To Save Money Thru Energy Impact Illinois

The First Congregational
United Church of Christ will be hosting a special event to celebrate Earth
Day.  All are invited to a presentation
at 11:30 on Sunday, April 27th, in our sanctuary at 235 South
Kenilworth, Elmhurst.  Our guest speaker
will be Eric Keeley, Outreach and Marketing Coordinator for Elevate Energy, who
will be talking about how to reduce your home energy bills by an average of
$400 per year.

Elevate Energy is a
non-profit organization that has helped more than four thousand Chicago area homeowners take advantage of the Energy Impact Illinois (EI2) program.  Homeowners that participate in EI2 start by

getting a home energy assessment to identify affordable and effective home

energy improvements.  They are then put in touch with certified and vetted contractors who use the assessments to make improvements that make homes more comfortable and valuable.  Elevate Energy helps homeowners learn about

rebates and loans to help reduce the costs.
Homes which increase their efficiency by 15% or more are eligible for an “Illinois Home Performance with Energy Star” Certificate that, at time of sale,
has been proven to help homes sell faster and for higher prices.

It will be a valuable
opportunity to learn how you can save money, while at the same time, protecting our environment.  For more information about Elevate Energy and EI2 go to:  www.elevateenergy.org<http://www.elevateenergy.org>
