First United Methodist Church Grace Gathering and Fellowship Breakfast

On
Sunday, September 8, the church will
hold its annual Grace Gathering to
kick off its program year.   “Growing
in GRACE: God’s Really Amazing Care for Everyone,”  is the Education theme for this year.  Children and adults are invited to celebrate the joys
of welcoming the fall season.  Activities begin with a complimentary fellowship breakfast
from 9:15-10:15
a.m. in the church’s Wesley
Hall, sponsored by the Fellowship Team.  At
10:00, children will visit their classrooms and meet
their Sunday School teachers, in preparation for the first day of classes September
15.

 Adults
may sign up for the fall education classes and the church’s Small Group Ministry
which identifies special interest areas.
Information will be
available for the many Sunday morning and mid-week adult education
opportunities, which are also open to the community.  Adult classes also begin on Sunday, September
15.

Ruth Zervas, who is starting her 19th
year as Director of Christian Education at First Church, will preach the sermon
at both 8:10 and 10:25 a.m. worship services.
