Sisters Across the Straits: The Status of Women in Cuba

In May 2012, two Elmhurst LWV members traveled to Cuba with the Florida League of Women Voters’ Sisters Across the Straits delegation to study the political and social conditions of Cuban women and to experience the country more personally.  Susan and Peggy will share their experiences and impressions of the people, the built environment, the economic climate and the social settings they found in Cuba.  Their talk will be richly illustrated with pictures of their time in country.
