Fund-raiser for the Avery Schiff Foundation Feb. 10

Little Avery Schiff overcame many obstacles in her 5 and a half years as a result of congenital heart defects and other problems she faced.

The Avery Schiff Foundation supports the families of children with special needs and congenital heart defects by helping ease the financial burdens associated with a child's medical treatment.

On Sunday, Feb. 10, the Avery Schiff Foundation and The Twisted Easel will host a painting party at 2 p.m. at Fitz's Spare Keys in Elmhurst. Participants will enjoy beverage discounts, appetizers and discounted bowling. Those who register in advance can also get a painting lesson and take home their own 16-by-20 "hug and love-inspired" masterpiece.

You don't have to know how to paint—The Twisted Easel instructors will provide canvas, paint and instruction—but you do have to be 21 or older to paint.

The cost to paint is $50 and includes a glass of beer or wine and appetizers.
