Do Something Good For Yourself and Others This Holiday Season

ELMHURST, Ill. –  Ease stress and learn to practice mindfulness during the hectic holiday season with Life in Balance, a special Courts Plus offering on Sunday, December 9 from 1-2:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room with Karen Augustyn, Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer.

Life in Balance is designed to create awareness of your life energy, as you learn techniques to bring balance and clarity into daily practice while detaching from stressful life situations.  A short presentation along with gentle breathing and stretching exercises will be included.  Teaching and allowing your body and mind to relax can create a new level of understanding for a “Life in Balance.”

This class is open to everyone.  This is a special no-fee offering but a donation of $5 to the Elmhurst Park District’s Recreation Assistance Fund, which provides aid for residents faced with financial hardship so that they can participate in recreational programs, is suggested.  Make a difference for others while doing something good for yourself this holiday season!  For more information, contact Karen Augustyn at jkaugustyn@comcast.net.

Courts Plus is a health, sports and fitness facility operated by the Elmhurst Park District. It is located at 186 S. West Avenue, Elmhurst.  The Elmhurst Park District is an Illinois Distinguished Agency dedicated to promoting “lifetime enjoyment” by providing a variety of parks, recreation facilities, and affordable programs in the Elmhurst community.  For more information on Courts Plus and the Elmhurst Park District, visit www.epd.org.
