Are you a fun-loving woman who loves to sing at the top of your lungs in the car? Consider this your invitation to join the Choral-Aires Chorus as we prepare to perform in Hawaii at the Sweet Adelines International Competition! Women of all ages who love to sing and perform can join the Choral-Aires during a special guest night series titled “Sand, Surf and Song” held each Monday from 7 to 10 p.m., January 7 – February 25, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church Recreation Center (345 S. Kenilworth Avenue, Elmhurst).

Learn from top-notch directors as both a chorus member and as an individual vocalist, and build close relationships with nearly 100 other women who love to sing and perform as much as you do. The Choral-Aires Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, and regularly earns medals at international competition, above nearly 600 other choruses worldwide. For more information about the guest night series, contact Barb Ehst at barbehst@hotmail.com or 630.204.5188.

More than 100 women from Illinois and Wisconsin sing tight harmonies a cappella (without instrumentation) with the Choral-Aires Chorus, a Sweet Adelines International medaling chorus, and the 2012 Lake Michigan Region 3 Champion. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. More information about the Chorus can be found at their website, http://choral-aires.com

I agree with you but I don't know if we as just citizen's can do anything to stop that practice. IRead More wish that each cyclist had to have a license, and that it was enforced by laws and police, on the bike so that people could report occurrences and have the person receive a ticket just like a person driving an auto. That would make sense.

A couple of years ago, Villa Park installed "State Law- must stop for pedestrians" signsRead More on the roadways where the Great Western and Prairie Paths cross. I saw a big increase in path users barreling across the streets with no regard for the stop signs on the path.

I was really hoping that the Elmhurst Police would sound in on this info-I do understand kids willRead More be kids, but if one of them is hurt, that adult driver will need to live with that for the rest of their life-so let's come up with a solution for both bicyclist and cars to be in harmony. I really think that a step up in enforcement in the bicycle laws would help-just like the drunk driving laws-believe me the bicycle laws are just as important.
